    Before the fall, did the animals mate in the Garden of Eden ?

    Of course they did ! Have you never read:

    Genesis 1 NIV

    “ 20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

    24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. “

    Matthew 19:4-6

    “And He answered and said, "Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE, and said, 'FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'? "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." “

    From the beginning God created male and female to become one flesh, OR for the two to make an offspring that had half of his DNA and half of here DNA but be one and not two.

    The most glorious thing God has ever done was to come down from heaven and be born of a woman to become one of us so he could die for our sin. God planed to die for us before He laid the foundations of the earth.

    Ephesians 1 (TLB)

    “ 4 Long ago, even before he made the world, God chose us to be his very own through what Christ would do for us; he decided then to make us holy in his eyes, without a single fault—we who stand before him covered with his love. 5 His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by sending Jesus Christ to die for us. And he did this because he wanted to!

    All of His creation declares this glory and always has:

    Psalm 19 (NIV)

    1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
    2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.

    If the glory of God is when He died for us to pay for our sin so that would know that He loves us, then the heavens have declared that glory from the beginning.

    From the beginning stars were born and then died to form new stars. Plants produced seeds that fall to the ground and died to bring forth 10 or 100 fold. Animals were born and produced offspring and then died.

    The natural is sign of the spiritual. Death brings forth new life showing us that Christ had to die for us to have real life, or spiritual life.

    Death - are there different kinds of death ?
