Let me start by asking this question ? It is dark and light comes; how much time has passed ? You do not know. It could be 2 hours or 12 hours etc. From dark to sunup it NOT a measure of time. Time on the earth can only be measured from sunup to sunup or sundown to sundown.

    Genesis 1

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

It was dark and light came, the first day. The Hebrew word they translated “day” simply means the coming of light or the coming of warmth. But we use the word “day” like that yet today. Is it day or night out ?

The 6 days of creation are NOT 24 hour earth days. God says a 1000 years is like a day to him. He also calls Himself The Ancient of Days. Certainly 6,000 years would then be like 6 days to Him and that is NOT ancient is it.

God also left us the universe. God s says the heavens and earth declares His glory. The evidence God left us certainly declares that the universe is very very old and God has no beginning or no end.
