I was thinking about the plagues that The Lord brought upon Egypt during the time that the Pharaoh was making slaves out of Israel. The Lord could certainly have caused Egypt to release Israel before He brought the plagues upon Egypt. He could have held back the army of Egypt while Israel fled. BUT Israel REMAINED in Egypt during the plagues. The plagues did not touch Israel or bring any harm to them, while they did bring harm to the Egyptians that followed the Pharaoh.
The Pharaoh certainly could be taken as type of Antichrist. Israel certainly was the people of The Lord. Egypt certainly was a symbol of the world. But when God removed Israel from this world ( Egypt ) Israel remained there during the nine terrible plagues. These plagues did not harm Israel.
In the Revelation many claim that God will remove Christians before the Great Tribulation. But God puts a seal on the forehead of His People and they are not harmed by the terrible things that take place during the Seven Trumps. The point is this: Christians will remain on this earth during the Seven Trumpets, just as Israel remained in Egypt during the plagues, and Noah remained on the earth during the flood.
But we will be protected from harm by The Lord. This will teach us to trust in Him who can protect us from all kinds of death.
It is AFTER this SEVENTH TRUMP that the Lord Jesus returns:
1 Cor 15
50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
So we are raised from the dead OR changed ( given a new body) in a flash, at The LAST TRUMPET.
Now the last trumpet certainly can not be before The seventh trumpet can it, or it would not be the last.
