Ladies ate at La’ Madeleines.
Guys ate shish kabobs I fixed at my home..
The circle driveway was filled with $60 K vehicles driven from homes worth nearly a million or more.
Some from Missouri some from west Texas.
All are friendships which begin in the early 1980’s.
Not a divorce among us.
All are members of a church – either Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, or Disciples of Christ.
Each of their net worth is more than four times that of ours.
Dessert and coffee was at my house for ladies and guys.
We caught up on the most recent private issues of each family.
Each shared their requests for prayer.
Afterwards, my wife looked sadly at me and said,
“The Grass is really greener on our side of the fence.”
Her sobs were filled with gratitude.
