  • I did a pullover of 270# with a totally torn rotator cuff

I reported months ago about having an accident and getting a total tear in my upper rotator cuff muscle. The doctor told me I should not be able to raise my arm straight up over my head unless I had surgery.

I did not get the surgery and this week I did a overhead press with 85#, and bench press with 115# and a pullover with 270#. The overhead and bench are not a lot of weight but I am not supposed to be able to do them at all. The pullover is a lot of weight for a 74 year old who weighs about 145#.

I will work with the 270# for a month and next month try 290# that would be double my own weight and would be an elite lift for a young man, let alone 74. I am very thankful. The Lord Jesus is full of mercy and grace.

I am weak, blind, deaf, lame, and lack courage and anything good. The Lord Jesus has allowed me to have a strong body to give me joy and that is a total gift. We are His children and He loves to give us all gifts.

Tell us what He gave you in the replies.

The Lord tells us to tell about the good things The Lord does for us. Certainly someone has something good The Lord did for them at sometime.

      Hi Lou,
I hope you are doing well.
Well I am of average IQ and average strength for my size. I am not called to a high office and I am not sure if I hear God's voice or if it's my own bellowing in my head, because I can't remember hearing His audible voice.
I have experienced what I would consider miracles in my life, but there was nothing spectacular about them and they were only miracles to me.
So I can't share anything with certainty in my life that is so remarkable as all the testimony that you have shared brother.
All of the events that you profess are spectacular and unusual for me to witness. I have never witnessed a fraction of the remarkable occurrences you share on a regular basis. I believe that is why there are no replies. Blessings ..... Steve

Thanks for your reply Steve. I remember you telling me about a miracle God preformed for you when you went to court. I certainly was inspired by that miracle and so were you that day. Why not tell us all about it ?

I also remember when you were in the hospital and they told you that you might die of a leaky bowel. You were in very bad shape and even very scared. The one young Dr told you that he had to operate on you, and you were going to do as he said. But The Lord stopped you from doing so, and instead sent you to an old Dr who told you far different than the young one. The Lord saved your life and also gave you peace of mind. Why not tell us more about that ? I was certainly inspired by The way The Lord cared for you. Further you may have not known what the Lord was telling you to do. But it did not depend on your ability to hear, but His ability to lead you.

He made you lie down beside still waters, just as He did for David.

          Hi Lou,
You're right about those events being miracles, as far as I can see. But men can easily say that I was represented well in the court case. I know it was the Lord's mercy and all the prayers, but I can't prove that to anyone. Anyone can say that it was just the way it worked out.
As with the hospital situation, I certainty know that it was the Lord's mercy and prayers that got me through that. And He used you to talk me out of the surgery. And I am greatful for that. I know it was His intervention that got me healed without surgery. But anyone can question it and just say it was good doctoring and equipment.
There are personal miracles and there are spectacular miracles, like when you had your hand healed. Or when the doctors couldn't find out why you stopped bleeding just like that. And the many things that are inexplicable in your testimony. I am not familiar with that kind of testimony from many people.
Some miracles leave no room for doubt, but as I said before, some are questionable and are personal.

Thanks for the reply Steve. I was inspired by your account of going to court and how The Lord delivered you. What made it so clear to me that it was a miracle is the fact that truth and justice are rare in our courts today. You got truth and justice that day. All truth and justice are from The Lord. He is the one and only source of either one.

I remember well how encouraged you were in The Lord after that event. Certainly Satan does not inspire men in the Lord and neither do men.
