  • My son Isaac is in town today

Isaac called me yesterday afternoon and said he was on the way here. Isaac, Leah and me went running in Mill Creek park this morning and then went for breakfast. Later we came back to my place and talked until they had to leave. They are leaving for the east coast tomorrow morning to spend a week with her parents and will be back here after that for the rest of the week they spend here.

So if this Syncope is the death of me, at least I will pass much happier. It was forecast for a thunderstorm to start a short time after we planned to start our run. I checked the radar and there the storm was and it looked very intense. I prayed and asked the Lord to give us nice weather for our run, if possible ,because I get so little time with Isaac. We do not get to run together many times now days. We used to run everyday together all year long.

Well we got our 5 miler in with sunshine the whole way. We never got a drop of rain or even any clouds. I do not know what happened to the thunderstorm.

The Lord is full of mercy and grace. He shinned down on me today. I even feel much better physically, but far better emotionally.

1 - I seen the thunderstorm on radar with my own eyes. It was close and moving right towards us, and the weatherman agreed that it would be raining in a short time.

2 - I do not know what happened to the T-storm, but it never did hit us at all.

3- The Lord has a whole universe to watch over, and there are well over 7 billion people of this planet. How many Christians are praying to Him at any time of the day ? The fact the He would even hear me is amazing; but to take the effort to stop that T-storm, and NOT for life and death, but only so I could run in the park with my son and his wife.

4 - Can you get an audience with the mayor of your town ? What about the Governor of your state ? We have no chance of seeing him, let alone granting our request if we wanted him to do a small favor for us. BUT The Creator of everything that exists will hear our cry to Him and act with extreme mercy and grace towards us.

This seemly small thing really blessed me yesterday. Spending a little time with my son renewed my soul.

Thanks for sharing this, Lou. I'm glad you all had such a blessed visit. It is a warming testimony to the goodness of our Father. If we being evil would give our child a raincoat, boots and an umbrella, how much greater would our Father in heaven do for His children. Perhaps He did indeed do it for life, for His name's sake. Glory to God, He is the God of the living.

Amen Barry. Not natural life, but it sure brought life in the spirit to me.
