Self promotion
The organization promotes the name and personality of the star rather than Jesus.
The star takes on a prestigious title like apostle or prophet or bishop.
The star claims to have a doctors degree which gives authority and credentials as being intelligent.

for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.

Disobeys the teachings of the Lord Jesus
John 14:23-24 NIV
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

²² Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ ²³ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Notice that these false Christians CLAIM to have prophesied and preformed miracles, but Jesus does not say they did so. In fact we know they did not, for Jesus did not know them and only Jesus can preform miracles. No mere man can preform miracles.

In fact their very claim to have preformed miracles is testimony against their claim that they follow Jesus.
