What is the meaning of this passage from Luke 16: 8, about the children of light? "For the children of this world are more astute in dealing with their own kind than are the children of light."?

Jesus is pointing out that the children of the world are astute in the ways of the world. They are clever and use the ways of the world for material gain.

But most of the children of the light still cling to the ways of the world and are not astute in spiritual eternal gain. We should consider others better then ourselves as the scriptures command; but few do this. We should trust only in Jesus to save us, but trust in leaders and our own ability rather that Christ.

Jesus would change the world through us if only we would trust fully in Him and Him alone.
