    Leviticus 19:31 NIV

31 “‘Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists,

for you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.

We are not to seek out anyone who claims to know the future; or to be able to contact the dead or “spirits”. This is witchcraft and is forbidden by God in the past, present and future. Anyone who might seem to display some knowledge about these things is either a fraud, or is serving demons. Demonic powers are out to destroy us and are not trying to help us, but to deceive us.

No one knows the future except for God. We are to seek Him alone. We are not even to seek God to know the future, but to know Him. We should trust in the One and Only God Almighty who proved that He loves us by coming down from heaven and being born of a woman to become one of us so that He could die for our sin. He also proved that He is able to help us by raising Himself from the dead. Jesus said, “destroy this temple and I WILL raise it in three days.” Jesus was speaking of His human body that was His temple.

We should trust is the One who created everything that exists and not some far lessor power that He created. Jesus will judge everyone when the time comes, including those who claim to know the future and also be able to speak with the dead.
