QUESTION ASKED TO LOU: Why is it that when I tell people that I have seen God and I point them to Matthew 5:8 to back up my truth, they start Giving me different interpretations of what they think Matt 5:8 meant when I am telling them what it meant because I have seen God?
Matthew 5 NIV
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Notice is does not say they have seen God, but will see God. It is not past tense but future tense. The pure in heart will see God in the future.
We are promised to see God with our eyes in the future, when He returns to the earth. Rev 1 NIV
7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Until Jesus returns those who confess their sin and give their life to Him are born again when His Holy Spirit enters into them. The Holy Spirit will lead them into all truth. They will ”see” Jesus more and more in the spiritual by learning more and more about His Nature.
I walk and talk with The Lord Jesus every day and have been for 44 years. He actually appeared to me in my living room one night, I could sense his appearance with my eyes and even hear the energy around Him. But I could not see His form in detail, only the aurora around Him. Certainly The Lord appeared to many people in the OT as The Angel of The Lord. But this verse in Matthew does not promise all those who are pure in heart will see The Lord in the natural in this lifetime.
