We all know that scripture is true. Every verse. We also know that scripture cannot contradict scripture. In light of these two undeniable truths, I'm having trouble understanding how the following verses in the Gospel of John somehow fit together. They do fit together, of that I am certain. But I need help understanding how.
Here are the verses...
John 10:30
I and my Father are one.
John 14:28
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
John 20:17
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; For I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Are these mysterious verses like geometry problems? The ones where several circles are all superimposed upon one another, and they all cover the same area, yet unique circles can still be viewed within the whole, at the same time? I could use some insight and understanding on this topic.
There are many other verses that could be included as well. These are just three I found in one Gospel.
