WOMAN IN REV 12 IS THE TRUE BODY OF CHRIST

Posted On: 03/10/09 07:44:39 AM Age 65, OH

Thanks for the article David. You say, "Revelation 12 focuses on the nation of Israel. A remnant of the Jews will

flee into the "wilderness"" - But Rev 12 also says this, - 11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the

    word of their testimony
; - and also this, -17Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war

against the rest of her offspring—those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.- Does

the nation of Israel hold to the testimony of Jesus or do they deny the testimony of Jesus. There are two women in the

Bible, the children of Abraham that are as the "sands of the sea shore" and the children that are of the "stars of the sky".

Jesus told the pharisees that they were children of Satan. The woman in Rev 12 is the children of Abraham that have faith

as he has and not the natural children. The nation of Israel is certainly a testimony of the Truth of God's promises and it is

also a sign of the coming of end times. But the women in Rev 12 is not the nation of Israel, but the true children of

Abraham which trust The Lord Jesus to save them. Lou Newton

    The False Prophet

    The false prophet

Christianity without the Cross is the false prophet, or second beast of Revelation. It is not the pope, or any individual per se. It rises out of the earth. It is of the earth and therefore not of heaven. Revelation describes the false prophet as looking like a lamb. Of course it must look like a lamb so as to deceive many into thinking it is the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. This beast promotes everything the first beast embodies, in the guise of Christianity. The false prophet tells people to make an image of the first beast. This image is whatever, either in the church or the world, outwardly represents an attitude of rebellion against God. It has been the deception of Satan from the beginning that man will surely not die, but be like God. The first beast is man's attempt to do so, as he tries to fix what ails him through his own efforts, rather than surrender to the Cross. The second beast turns this effort into a religious thing. We do not know what our future holds

WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT OUR FUTURE HOLDS

Dear friend, you make a good point that Ps 95 does not say that a generation is forty years but that God will test

that generation for 40 years. But in The Revelation 3:10 God is speaking not to all churches but to the church that does

not claim to be strong but claims to be weak. There were seven letters to seven churches and it is only this 6th letter that

was meant for this church. All the other churches had their own letter. If a church claims to be strong then their letter is

the 1st letter and Jesus told them that if they did not repent he would take their light away. There were only two

churches that Jesus did not have anything against. That was the church in Philadelphia that claimed to be weak and the

church in Smyrna that claimed to be poor. But Jesus told the church that claimed to be poor that they were rich and Jesus

had nothing against them. To the church that claimed to be weak, Jesus said "I have placed an open door that NO ONE can

shut." They were weak but Jesus is strong. Jesus told this church that confessed their weakness that he would keep them

from the hour of trial that was coming on the whole earth.
But look with care and see Jesus did not tell that to the

other churches. Look what Jesus spoke to the 2nd church- 10"Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell

you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, EVEN TO

THE POINT OF DEATH, and I will give you the crown of life." - Jesus told this to a church that He had NOTHING against. It

was told to the church who confessed to be poor but Jesus said they were rich. If this church is going to go through

tribulation, then who can even think they will not go through even more
        . NOTICE THIS: the

churches were the opposite of what they claimed to be. The church that thought it was alive was dead. The church that

thought it was strong was weak. The church that thought it was rich was poor. But the church that thought it was weak

was strong and the church that thought it was poor was rich
        .
I have been looking for a church that professes

to be weak and poor and if I find one, I will hope to attend there for my time on this earth. For I would certainly be at

home in that place; for I am weak, poor, blind, deaf, and lame, but I by His mercy and grace alone, am caused to trust in a

Savior that is Light, Truth and His arm is not too short to save. Grace and peace to you brother. Lou Newton
