  • FALSE PROPHECY Caused HUNDREDS KILLED

NOTE: This slaughter was confirmed by reports from International

Christian Concern ('persecution.org') and other sources. In 2011

American Christian radio host Harold Camping prophesied that

the Rapture and Judgment Day would take place on May 21,

2011. Tragically, this false prophecy caused hundreds of Hmong

people to be slaughtered. Below is a report from Jacob Prasch

from that time describing what happened:

    FALSE PROPHECY Caused HUNDREDS KILLED

    by Jacob Prasch

As most of you are aware I am at this moment in North Vietnam

helping the much persecuted Hmong people of the tribal mountain areas.

After listening to a translation of Camping's prediction 7,000 of these

people (known in The West as Montagnards) gathered on a mountain

praising God - their suffering at the hands of the Communist regime

was about to end because Jesus was returning that day in May to

    establish a new kingdom.

The police and military police slaughtered many of them at gunpoint

beheading two pastors. Others were arrested. I am told by Hmong

pastors that so many were shot dead that they were buried in mass

graves bulldozed over in an episode that I read about in Britain

but did not understand the magnitude of until I got here. I am now

trying to clean up the mess at the request of local Hmong leaders.

I spoke to a secret convocation of Hmong pastors only yesterday

who came to Hanoi, explaining to them about false prophets and

    false teachers.

Due to a combination of poverty, ignorance, and persecution these

poor Christians don't understand much so they believed Camping's

shortwave broadcast which is how most get their teaching in a

certain village area with heavy persecution. Their families don't know

if their missing loved ones are among the many shot dead, among

those arrested and imprisoned, or among those from the 7,000

    hiding in the jungle.

I am not the nicest guy in the world let alone the best Christian

and I can't pretend to be. But anyone who had to deal with the

confusion and devastation I am dealing with now due to Harold

Camping would also blow their top. These people already suffering

for their faith in Jesus had it bad enough. They are not like the

undiscerning whackos in The West who should have known

Camping was a crackpot and a proven false prophet & false teacher.

This is a persecuted church who just had no means to know any

different. This is why I get angry at those who deceive the Body of

Christ and why I warn so much about false teachers and false

prophets. It may be an extreme case but these people, some of

them children, were shot dead. Of course we can blame Satan and

the communists but their blood is on the hands of Harold Camping

and his Family radio. Women without husbands, children without

parents, husbands without wives - thank you Family Radio; thank

    you Harold Camping.

Frankly, this has been a rough week for me. One of the worst I ever

had. I am up to my eyeballs in muck trying to explain to tribal

pastors how to explain to their people why their families were

massacred needlessly and trying to advise them how to potect

their flocks from such wolves in the future...

The anguish of the Hmong folk took my concentration off of my

own problems... because their problems are so much greater

after what they refer to as 'the mountain massacre' due to Harold

    Camping.

Please pray for these people and the work of Moriel Asia branch

here among the Hmong. We are trying to get 5,000 outlawed

Hmong Bibles printed or smuggled in via Laos.

Where does it end? These people are suffering terribly while

Camping is still in business in Oakland, California - as usual telling

    more lies... Come Lord Jesus.

    The Lesson of Harold Camping

Harold Camping died 15 December 2013. Therefore, no one need worry about his many man-made predictions. However, Camping was not so much of a charlatan as a bad interpreter of the Bible. He allowed his presuppositions about the end times determine what he believed the Bible predicted. He was so blind to his own presupposition and wedded to his ideas that even repeated failures did not deter him.

As noted, erroneous biblical interpretations ended in physical death. Also, some erroneous biblical interpretations will end in the second death (spiritual death).

Since Ellen G. White (Seventh Day Adventist) and after about 1870 nearly all the failed predictions have been generated from those who hold to premillennial dispensationalism view of the second coming. Just as with Harold Camping the premillennial dispensationalist predictions derive from bad biblical interpretations. The history of this movement begins in the 1827 with John Nelson Darby and the Plymouth Brethren (The DARBY translation is excellent. He was an English Episcopal Priest.). Because their biblical interpretations predict a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem, they proposed that there would have to be a reestablished State of Israel. For this reason, the premillennial dispensationalists supported the political secular Zionist movement beginning in the 1890's and are adherent supporters of the modern State of Israel. John Hagee is the founder and National Chairman of the Christian-Zionistorganization Christians United for Israel.

When the State of Israel was formed in 1948 it seemed to provide credence to the predictions of the premillennial dispensationalist. Most concluded that Jesus could return in 1988, i.e., within one Biblical generation (40 years) of the founding of Israel in 1948. The rapture would occur seven years prior to the return, therefore by 1981. After these dates passed the definition of a Biblical generation was redefined as actually 70–80 years, placing the Second Coming of Jesus between 2018 and 2028 and the Rapture by 2021 at the latest.

An Alternative scheme determined that since the State of Israel did not include the old City of Jerusalem until the 1967 war that it was the generation after 1967 which determined the return of Christ. This gave a date of the second coming as no later than 2007 and a rapture by 2000 which produced the millennium crazies. Just like when the predictions for the 1988 return failed those using 1967 recalculated the return based upon a 70-80-year generation. Do we will have to wait until 2047 to know if they are also wrong? Somepremillennial dispensationalists are getting cold feet and are redefining a generation as 100 years.

These predicters are not all ignorant men but operate from presuppositions which control what they believe about the Bible and the second coming. Everyone acknowledges that Isaac Newton was one of smartest people ever. Yet, Newton predicted that Christ's Millennium would begin in the year 2000 in his book Observations upon the Prophecies of Daniel, and the Apocalypse of St. John. He also wasted years practicing alchemy in efforts to turn lead into gold. Because he was an exceptional physicist did not qualify him as having objective skills in other areas.

(NOTE from Lou: Please see the next post to see what I state about Isaac Newton and his experiments about trying to change one element into another.)

In the generation that approached 1980 there was a great expectation of the rapture. Many made decisions which changed the rest of their life. A significant number left the church because of the failed predictions. False predictions fool many people who might be considered wiser and not just the innocent Hmong people.

The lesson here ought to be about humility and skepticism. Unity of faith through focusing upon the basic tenets of the Christian faith rather than on differences will go a long way in preventing extremism. Christian fellowship and brotherly criticism are essential to warn us of error.

Listed are some important or well-known premillennial dispensationalist:

    C. I. Scofield, a lawyer, published the Scofield Bible (1909) which had a dramatic influence in spreading dispensationalism because of the Great War (WWII) and Great Britain gaining control of Jerusalem from the Turkish Empire.

Dr. Harry Rimmer a very popular radio minister and publisher of the 1920-1940 era (190-1952).

    Dr. R.A. Torrey

    Dwight L. Moody

    Dr. Jerry Falwell

    Chuck Smith

    Dr. Jack Van Impe

Lewis Sperry Chafer - founder of Dallas Theological Seminary which requires students to affirmpremillennial dispensationalism

    Dr. Charles Caldwell Ryrie

Hal Lindsey revised one of Dr. Harry Rimmer's books and named it The Late Great Planet Earth

    Dr. John MacArthur

    Dr. Robert Jefferies

    Pentecostals

    Assembly of God (required)

    Oral Roberts

    Jim Bakker

    Paul Crouch

    Kenneth Copeland

    Mike Murdock

    Pat Robertson

    Robert Tilton

    Jimmy Swaggart

    Benny Hinn

    Billy Graham

Grigori Rasputin wrote the “second coming” would occur on August 23, 2013, and that the Earth would be consumed by fire.

Isaac Newton was probably the most brilliant scientist who ever lived. He invented Calculus, discovered the nature of light, discovered all the laws and math formulas that the heavenly bodies move through space governed by gravity

He was far ahead of this time. He realized that the solar system was also a model for matter. He was convinced that one element could be changed into another element. While he worked for many years trying to prove this was possible, he was not doing it trying to get rich. Anyone who has studied his life in great detail could see this. He was simply trying to prove that one element could be changed into another. We now know this is true. This takes place on a mass scale in the stars everyday.

Isaac also did not consider science his life work, but he considered studying and writing about The Holy Scriptures his life work and science was his hobby. In the books he wrote he makes some very brilliant deductions.

One of his brilliant deductions was about when was the Book of Ruth written. The popular opinion is that the date Ruth was written is not known. But Isaac states this:

      Ruth 4 NIV
      The Genealogy of David

18 This, then, is the family line of Perez:

Perez was the father of Hezron,

19 Hezron the father of Ram,

      Ram the father of Amminadab,

20 Amminadab the father of Nahshon,

      Nahshon the father of Salmon,[d]

21 Salmon the father of Boaz,

      Boaz the father of Obed,

22 Obed the father of Jesse,

and Jesse the father of David.

Isaac brilliantly deducts that the only son of Jesse listed is David. Further Isaac states that no sons of David are listed.

No one but God knew that David was anyone special until Samuel anointed David as King. David is the only one listed and none of Jesse's other sons. So it had to be written AFTER Samuel anointed David as King. Also none of David's sons are listed so it had to be written BEFORE David was recognized as King by the people and lived in Hebron.

So not only is it known when Ruth was written, but Newton narrowed the time to a very short period of time.

I think that this simple genius proves that isaac had the holy spirit, and he showed isaac where to look. And he was certainly right about the elements being able to change; he didn't have enough heat and pressure here to accomplish it. What separates us from others should be that we ask our father in heaven for forgiveness, and what he wants us to study and or do. He will guide us to the right questions and the right thoughts. Almost anyone can see that isaac was right about when the book of ruth was written, but it takes the holy spirit to come up with it.
