There was an argument that you can accomplish what the Bible says to do by just being good and always doing good things to other people and being positive towards other people, like what this video teaches. I disagree. Apart from Jesus, we can do nothing, Jesus said that no one is good but God alone, and on top of that, this self improvement stuff completely leaves out the first and greatest commandment.

And nothing against the speaker, but I don't like how he keeps talking about "projection" and "energy", as well as "catching the emotions of other people". This sounds like New Age to me.

Faith or Works of the Law

"You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Have you experienced so much in vain —if it really was in vain? So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? So also, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." (all emphasis mine)

    Galatians 3:1-6

To treat a person in a kind and bubbly manner while you are encouraging them to go through a one way door to eternal hell is NOT kind at all.

It kind of reminds me of the churches popping up without Jesus. They want social justice and the feeling of religion, not the Holy Spirit.

Yes, one only need to read the book of Galatians to see the error of what this man claims.

If we could obey the law ( or be good) then Jesus would not have had to die for us.

Indeed, Lou, most people believe this. We just need the proper motivation or some secret knowledge to commit to being good to each other. Even many Christians believe it.

Foolish Galatians. Thanks for the scripture, Tom! Spot on.
