Trump Defends CENSORED Doctors Who Support Hydroxychloroquine
(FreedomJournal.org)- President Donald Trump publicly defended America’s Frontline Doctors on Tuesday after the medical professionals became the target of Big Tech over their support for Hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for COVID-19. The president defended the doctors during a Tuesday press conference, saying he was aware that Twitter, Google, and Facebook had engaged in a censorship campaign to stop people watching the group’s videos.
Earlier this week, a dozen doctors representing the group gave a press conference on Capitol Hill explaining their experiences using Hydroxychloroquine as both a treatment for COVID-19 patients and a preventative drug. One doctor during the event claimed that she had treated 350 patients, including people with diabetes and other conditions that make them more vulnerable to the virus, with Hydroxychloroquine. Of those 350 COVID-19 patients, not a single one died.
Social media giants removed all traces of the videos this week, claiming that they violated various policies surrounding “misinformation.”
“I don’t know why, I think they are very respected doctors,” Trump said about the decision made by Big Tech to censor the videos.
“Many doctors think it’s extremely good and some people don’t,” President Trump said. “Some people, I think, it’s become very political. I happen to believe in it.”
President Trump took a moment to remind journalists that he took the anti-malarial drug earlier this year, for a period of 14 days, and experienced no side effects. The president took the drug as a precautionary measure.
“It’s safe. It doesn’t cause problems. I had no problems, I had absolutely no problem,” he said. “It didn’t get me and it’s not going to hopefully hurt anybody.”
President Trump has long said that he believes Hydroxychloroquine could be effective as a treatment for COVID-19 patients, and doctors all over the world have used the drug on COVID patients. Democrats and the media, however, have repeatedly attacked the president over the support for the drug.
In their Monday press conference, America’s Frontline Doctors even theorized that the reason why Big Tech and the media are so adamantly opposed to using Hydroxychloroquine as a COVID treatment is that President Trump supports it.
