  • May you all have a blessed 2015

Sitting here on this chilly Tennessee morning, with my coffee in my hand, I have reflected on my 70 New Years. Wow! I would NEVER have believed the world would hold together this long. How many generations of people have felt that same way?

Happiness is a choice. I have been thinking about goals. You know, having goals is supposed to be good, but do we forget to enjoy the immediate because we are trying to fulfill a goal? It might be a little late, but i think this year, I am going to get up each day and remind myself to ENJOY that day.

If I get up and start worrying about getting my goals met, am I stealing joy from the day? I think so. What if I get up and enjoy that coffee and the warm house? What if I rejoice in my health and for get the little nagging pains? What if I praise God I have the financial resources to complete Mrs. Cook's apartment and forget the shrinking bank account? What if I bless The Lord that I live in America where we can still get anything we want with a short drive and we can still worship Jesus without being beheaded?

I feel happy. This is going to be the best year ever......not because everything is going my way, but because The Lord walks with me.

Have a blesses New Year everyone!!!!!

Amen. I see the Lord has spoken to you, too, Linda. =)

He tells me, "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice." Php 4:4

          Rejoice: be full of cheer.
Alway: every when, at all times.
          Again: I repeat! Rejoice.

And, "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" Eph 5:20

Always: continually; like breathing and the beating heart? like the rising of the Sun (Son).
All things: that's a lot! If seeking for more things to be thankful for, John Gill suggests an impressive list for Eph 5:20.

You write a wonderful list, Linda, that likewise stirs me to thanksgiving. Thank you.

May our thanksgiving redound (superabound, 2Co 4:15) to the glory of God in 2015 and henceforth, and our joy be full. I pray for our Lord's best blessings for all men.

Yes. May we give thanks in all things. I am thanking thenLord for giving Dan some rest. He is probably not thanking The Lord for bending wrong and pulling his back, but it laid him flat for awhile........I think he needed it.
