Sorry I have not posted for several days.
My youngest son, who lives in Illinois, is home and I am spending as much time with him as I am able. He was told by two mechanics in Chicago that his car needed brakes badly. So we ordered parts over the internet ( for way less than local part stores wanted). I put brakes on all four wheels with his help the other day. It was a very difficult brake job. Brake jobs used to be easy, but now some are very difficult to put the little clips in that hold the pads in. Also the brakes now can be very difficult to bleed the air out of when you put new calipers on. But his brakes are now all working fine. Thank you Lord Jesus for your mercy and grace.
My oldest son sold his house and bought a new house. He is also negotiating to sell his business. He is keeping me in the loop on all these deals and asking for my advise and prayer. He sold his car, and in looking for a 2008 Audi he found one on the New jersey shore with 12000 miles that was less money than ones here with 60,000 miles. So we drove to the Jersey shore yesterday ( Lakewood) and inspected the car. It looked and drove just as they had claimed. The underside of the car could have passed for a car on the showroom. The parchment leather seats, also looked like a showroom car. I do not know how anyone could keep a car that nice after 7 years. So he bought the car and we drove all the way back to Ohio that same night, after eating a seafood dinner on the beach. So I got to bed at four AM this morning. I was praying for my children and many others while driving back home. It is one of the biggest chunks of time for prayer that I have had lately. Thank you Lord Jesus for the safe trip home in spite of a almost 72 year old man driving for a 20 hour day. ( we had left at 8 AM the morning before). I had never got sleepy, but I was very tired.
This morning Steve called from New Jersey, and he had real problems. I felt helpless and could not help him to solve his problems. So we prayed together and I can only hope that The Lord Jesus will give him peace in all of his problems. Please pray for Steve.
Steve lives in New Jersey and I was in New Jersey yesterday. We were quite a distance south of him, but I am sorry it did not work out that I could stop and see him. I would not want to be in Steve's shoes right now. Again please pray for Steve right now as you are reading this.
