A friend asked me to read a book he was excited about. The Title was "Proof of Heaven" by a neurosurgeon Eben Alexander MD.
This doctor was in a coma for 7 days and writes about what he feels is the experience he went through while in that coma.
I have never been drawn to read about NDE (near death experiences) because I have never sought to know about heaven, but have sought to know the creator of heaven and earth instead.
So -
1 - I do not seek proof of heaven - but instead seek to know The Lord Jesus. I have seen many seek the gifts of His Holy Spirit instead of seeking the Giver of the gifts and have seen that they are open to receiving false gifts that are not from The Holy Spirit, but from the unholy spirit.
2 - I never felt 'Life" while reading the book. The Lord Jesus is Life and I always feel Life when in His presence.
3 - On page 48 he writes this quote: "There is, some say, in God a deep but dazzling darkness". I recognized where this was from right away. This is a lie from the father of lies. There is NO darkness in God.
1 John 1: 5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
4 - The author recommends books in the back on the book; he recommends this book:
Dalai Lama ( His Holiness the Dalai Lama) The Universe in a single atom; the convergence of science and spirituality. - There is One and Only One who is Holy and it is not the Dalai Lama. He can not raise Himself from the dead. Past men who held his position are in their graves.
5 - He writes on page 156 - "The Universe has no beginning and no end" - This is also a lie from the father of lies. Genesis 1: 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth - The heavens and the earth is the universe and God tells us that it had a beginning and He also tells us it will have an end in His Book.
6 - The author recommends his website to his readers and I went there. The Core values that he lists are nothing but eastern religion and definitely not Christianity.
The Core Statements are as follows:
7 - In the book the author writes that he was told in "heaven" that he could do nothing wrong. That is a lie from Satan. Satan was in heaven and he did something wrong and was thrown out of heaven. John was taken up to heaven ( in the spirit, not the flesh) and John did something wrong in heaven when he worshiped the angel that was not God and was corrected for what he had done.
I do not recommend this book. Also I think this subject can be a very dangerous subject to seek.

The Core Statements are as follows:
- The enduring essence of consciousness extends beyond the brain, transcending it and capable of existing independently of it;
- This aspect of consciousness is eternal in nature, unbounded by space, time and matter, and is able to manifest in other forms and places throughout the spectrum of eternal existence;
- All things in the cosmos are interconnected at the quantum level, influencing each other non-locally and instantaneously, implying that all things are one in the grand web of creation;
- The meaning and purpose of all existence and the organizing principle of the cosmos which drives the evolution of all things is to become greater expressions of harmony and love….loving all things unconditionally, including oneself;
- There is a profound Intelligence or Source underlying the creation and evolution of the universe from which all things originate and to which all things return;
- In an interconnected universe an intricate matrix of cause-effect relationships exists, suggesting that what we to others we do to ourselves, which means that we reap what we sow; and
- The good of the one and the good of the whole are mutually enhancing, affirming the ancient wisdom that the quality of both individual and collective existence is enhanced by bringing every aspect of creation into a state of complete unity, harmony and love.
