After the men under Mao seen that his "Great Leap Forward" was a dismal and total failure they got together and planned to retire him as the Chairman. So Mao responded by firing up the youth of the nation against all authority and they almost destroyed China. This was The "Cultural Revolution" that revealed that Mao was willing to destroy China rather than give up power. Mao did this by taking over the movie and entertainment of China. Sound familiar ?

The study of the history of mankind is very revealing. We can see that The Bible is true from this video.

Mao started out wanting to help his nation and his people. But any man who claims he is wise and there is no God can not have any wisdom himself. For only fools claim there is no God.

Proverbs 1

⁷ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

If any man claims there is no God he makes himself a fool and fools do not have any wisdom.

The beginning of wisdom to to acknowledge that there is a God and to seek His face.

Mao claimed that there was no God and so made himself a fool.

He therefore ruled as a fool and had no wisdom.

Certainly only a total fool would command all the farmers of the nation to build mud blast furnaces and melt down all the iron and steel they possessed to make steel. They already possessed iron and steel in these useful tools. They used these tools to farm the soil.

But the farmers spent the next two or three years making blast furnaces out of mud and their daughters hair and melting their farming tools into useless clumps of iron that was so full of impurities that it was useless.

The end result of Mao's program was that the farmers had no iron tools and China had no food.

Mao took the farmers time and talent and their farming tools and had them destroy their tools and waste their time and effort. The result was that a large portion of the people starved. Since there was about 700 million people in China, how many do you think starved ? Remember that most people were peasant farmers and they had very little food. The elite had so much food the they got fat and the food rotted in storage.

This is how socialism helps the poor.

Even most of the warlords knew to feed their people enough to stay alive or they would have no slaves to raise food for themselves. Even the cruel slave masters in the US knew enough to feed their slaves or they would have no slaves to work for them. But Mao was so foolish as to starve, kill, and imprison the very people who worked for him.

Now some studies say 20 million starved and some studies say 55 million. But if one studies each individual family almost all families say that most of their family died of starvation. There are some that think 100 million people starved to death and I agree with them.

Look at the bodies of the poor and then look the bodies of the elite in the films.

What did Mao do during this time. He ate so much that he got fat. So much food was put in storage that it rotted while millions starved to death. Some of these people were peasants from Mao's own home area where he had lived.

But that was not the end of Mao's foolishness. He then encouraged people to speak their mind and voice their disagreements. But then had these people who spoke out killed and put in prison. So the only people who thought for themselves were killed or imprisoned. These were the wisest of the nation. Mao killed the wise and encouraged foolishness.

So he ended up with a nation of lairs who told him whatever he wanted to hear. The result was that the poor claimed they raised way more food than they had raised. The government ( the elite) took 1/3 of what they claimed they raised. That was then way more than 1/3 and often was almost all of what they had left to eat for the winter. Millions more starved to death.

But Mao did promote something in China. He had taught the people that there was no God except for him. So they worshiped a fool and only fools worship a fool. Fools act like fools and they have no wisdom.

The best thing that Mao did for China as their Chairman was to die. In his death anyone can see he was not much of a god. He could not keep himself from dying.

Wiser men were able to take over and China has done much better since Mao's death.

Mao is probably responsible for the death of more people than any other human being that has lived. Hundreds of millions died because of his commands.

He had millions killed in the first revolution.

He had millions starved in his steel making plan.

He had thousands and maybe even millions killed in his plan that encouraged his opposition to speak out.

He had millions more starved in his program to increase the food production.

He had millions more killed during his Cultural Revolution that he started to regain power when the wiser men had removed him from power to save China.

His government was a government of death and not life.

This was the result of a fool leading others to become fools like him.

It is true that the start of wisdom is to acknowledge God. It is also true that the start of foolishness is to deny that God exists.

There is no greater fool than one who proclaims he is a god, and the ones who worship him.

Socialism, Marxism, and some others are economic idealism. That is, the system is designed with the idea that every one has equal ability, will follow some ethical code, and not get sick or need help. The core issue is that these designers ignore the wickedness of man. On the other hand, he federalist papers published to support the acceptance and passing of the US constitution made many arguments, but each essentially said vote for this document because men are depraved and will do the wrong things for this document has a built in balance of powers so that the depravity of one power counters the depravity of the others. The founding fathers did not trust human nature. Socialism trusts human nature.

Political communism is a corruption of economic socialism which is designed to keep power in the hands of an elite group of approved party members. The failure of communism is both the oppressive political system of communism and a idealistic model of socialism. American communist during the first fifty years of Soviet communism were not evil but idealist. They believed man was good, and they had high hopes for a system where there would be equality and justice. Read Marx. He sounds great but he is not biblical.

As critics of socialism, Americans should recognize that in America many things like government (public) education, social security, graduated income tax, the Affordable Health Care Act, entitlement programs, public transportation, roads and highways and all infrastructure are elements of a socialist economic model.

Under political and economic communism 100 of millions of people starved or were killed. But once Mao died and Xiaoping took over, he invited foreign companies to go into China and operate under capitalism. This started a boom in China. China still has a communist political system and the people are oppressed.

One might think about asking the Native American how he feels about illegal European immigration starting with Christophe Columbus and the resulting decimation of native populations and the loss of territory.

For the same reason that economic socialism fails, which is the depravity of man, is the same reason capitalism and free markets succeed. In the basest terms it is greed. This is not to say that there are not individual companies run by godly men who at least do for their employees and their clients/customers as they would want done for themselves. These, exceptions are wonderful companies for which to work and deal.

Capitalism and free markets succeed based upon the survival of the fittest or the dominance of the biggest . . . – pure greed. Fittest some times means the best cheater and not the best product or service. Monopolies, which are dominance of the biggest, have and will continue to be the bane of the individual.

I believe the role of good government is:
to regulate the safety for the public and the employee,
to prohibit business corruption,
to regulate an unfair advantage gained through the elimination of competition,
and to make certain all business have an equal opportunity.
Under such restraints all business should be able to compete fairly if not all successfully.

Currently, in this world the regulated systems of capitalism and free markets appear to be the best possibility for depraved mankind. There is not an economic or political system which coincides with the Kingdom of YHWH.
There are just better or worse alternatives . . . depending upon who is in charge.

Every economic and political system can be of God if all the participants are godly men.
Our duty is to make disciples . . . as many as we can . . . so there is a predominance of godly men.

A thought about the American Indians: While many could complain by the way they were treated by Europeans, some Europeans could complain by the way the Indians treated them. All men are evil and this would include the Indians. To make my point one could say the first groups of Asians that came to America could complain about the later Asian immigrants ( later also called Indians ) that came and fought with them over land. The Indians were constantly at war with one another. Some tribes were far more righteous than others.

Some large groups of tribes claimed the land now occupied by 12 of our largest states. One could question if any small group of people had a right to claim that much land. Power corrupts, and when the red man had the power he used it often for evil. The way of life for many tribes was to simply steal and kill one another. But once the white man had the power, most also used that power for evil and stole the land from the Indians and not treating them as they would want to be treated.

Certainly the Indians got the short end of the stick, but many also were not the noble humans beings some make them out to be today either. Most hunter gathers were forced into another way of life the world over as population increased. It takes a lot more land for hunters to feed their family than someone who depends on agriculture.

This problem is as old as civilization itself. Over 9000 years ago a hunter was hunting on the land his tribe claimed only to come upon a new village of farmers who were growing wheat right in the middle of their hunting grounds. This took place in what is now northern Iraq and those farmers had found a large area of wild wheat and they started to farm that wheat. That farming spread down the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and was the start of the Sumerian civilization.

To add to your comment about our choice of government: it is true that no form is totally righteous because men are evil. The perfect from of government is to have a King, IF that King is totally righteous. Of course even David, who was a man after God's own heart, murdered his own loyal friend to have that man's wife. But when Jesus returns He will be our King and He is Righteous.

Until that time The Lord shows us by His example that He allows men to choose how they will live. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
