We are distressed by the state of the people and the land. I don't wish or need to drag out the dirty laundry. It is flagrant, continually.
Nevertheless, we have a Republic. It is not in dominance at present, but the corporate legal apparatus acting as government has been unable to smash its gates, pull down its walls, nor seize upon its heart. The kingdom of paper law has been unable to break the foundation of the Republic--may it ever be so. It is not for lack of trying, that is a certainty.
I thank God our Father for the liberty and independence we still enjoy. If it weren't for the foundation, which He has built by our forebears, we would be completely a nation of man-made laws, completely enslaved, without rights, or any degree of liberty or independence. But we have the foundation still, and the right to claim it and operate the Republic, free of corporate tyranny, or any other tyranny for that matter.
God has set us free from bondage to sin by giving us a Son in whom He is well pleased. And He continues to bless us in the liberty of His Son. Even the atheist can understand the excellence of the invisible qualities of God revealed by such a thing as our Republic. It is ours, we established it, although in truth God establishes it and gives it to us. This is the LORD's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Thank you, Father!
