In Porters Lake, Canada Kyle Earl Munroe was arrested by police after they were called to a home that was being burglarized by three armed men.
Here’s the crazy thing: Munroe was one of the victims in the house.
When the three armed men broke into the house, Munroe and a friend fought with them and were able to wrestle a gun away from one of the criminals. Shots were fired and the criminals fled the scene.
After the criminals ran away, officers arrived and arrested Munroe.
If the entire debacle strikes you as unjust and completely insane, you’re not alone.
While Halifax authorities assure the media that the charges are just “pending,” and may not actually lead to legal punishment, does it really matter? The simple fact that the government would initiate any charges against a person who was simply defending their own life is unconscionable.
Don’t miss the timeline of the evening either. The ARMED criminals broke into the house, the victims fought back in self-defense, the cowardly criminals fled the scene, and then the police arrived.
What were the victims supposed to do? HOPE that the armed criminals would be nice and not hurt them as they attempted to rob their home? Were they supposed to BELIEVE in the good will of the violent lawbreakers who obviously have no respect for the law or for their fellow man?
To ask law abiding citizens to risk their property, their safety, their very lives on the HOPE that violent criminals won’t hurt them while committing crimes is unconscionable.
The local authorities should be ashamed and the entire nation of Canada should be in an uproar.
