    Hi Friends,

Please go out to vote today

We need to stand for the candidate that honors The Lord and His principles the best.

Of course that is the lesser of two evils, for all men are evil.

A while ago I was angry. I said I would not vote anymore, I would not participate in the corruption.

A little bit after that my attitude began to change. I recognized that in those moments my hope was in man, in human leaders, and I recognized that men, whether steeped in corruption or not, could not save us. My passivity was not an appropriate response. Shifting my hope and trust to a Sovereign Savior was the appropriate response.

Thank you for this reminder, Lou. I hope I picked the ones that the Lord can do the most good with.

Same here Barry. I ask The Lord to show me who to vote for and try to be obedient.

If everyone would do the same our nation would be healed overnight.

We do mail-in ballots out here on the prairie. If there was a candidate worth voting for, I did.
The rest I left blank. It was the best compromise I could come up with after, like Baruch, not wanting to vote any more at all. I doubt it matters one way or the other any more. We have the government we deserve now, I am sad to say.

The US Constitution was a pretty good document that men paid for in blood, sweat, tears and treasure. But it seems today not many think it important in our government.

Rand Paul is the only one that I can think of that might hold it as the supreme law of our land.

But even if he could get elected, what could he do with a nation that cares so little for right and wrong.

I see no hope for our nation unless there is a real turning to The Lord Jesus Christ.

I agree, Lou. No hope for our nation without that requisite change.

Although I've seen no evidence in my vicinity, I'm not omniscient. I entertained some naive hope that I would be pleasantly surprised. To no avail, it turns out.

Alas, people here like it the way it is. They love the socialists and what they're doing at the local and Federal levels, and voted them back in. In one case it was a bit close; I think the mud slinging was the leading factor.

The only significant change they approved was legalization of marijuana as a recreation. This is, in my opinion, a big step away from sobriety and acuity of the masses.

They voted down GMO labeling. I expected this to pass. I am sure the propaganda convinced some that labeling would be harmful. I would not be at all surprised if voter fraud was employed to secure the vote.

              Hi Barry,

The last items is the one that got me. How ungodly to not even think someone has the right to know that GMO's are in their food or not.

It does not matter if it is harmful or not. Certainly everyone has the right to decide for themselves.

Yes, Lou, the GMO labeling measure is both worrying and puzzling.

I know the industry pumped millions into their anti-labeling campaign. And they are criminally-minded, desiring to keep secret the knowledge of their practices. It is an easy thing for the criminally-minded to graduate to criminal practice. The FDA does not even take part in GMO trials, they just accept on faith the reports from the industry where there is a flagrant conflict of interest. There is probably another money motive here, which has been a well-known conflict of interest regarding the design of the FDA's approval process: they get paid to approve, not to hold up or deny approval.

This graft is all brought out into the open, yet the people did not vote intelligently.

On such a clear issue I really expected a landslide this time around. And it would have given me some heart to see that citizens can still apply reason to make their choices. I'm very disappointed.

The propaganda is right only in that--if one cares to change one's eating habits--the non-GMO food will be more expensive, at least until the non-GMO market surges and must become more competitive. But eating GMO or non- would remain a choice, and it would become an informed one. I suspect this is simply a case of bliss in ignorance, "not wanting to know how the sausage is made".

Watch, their next step will be to sue the manufacturers that label their products, NO GMOs. They will try to stop those companies from letting us know that their food does not have GMOs in it.

Yes. They've tried many tactics to beat down the activism. I would not put it past them to harass companies with court cases, just to spend a little of their profits to tie up the capital of others.

Here is a troubling thing to consider. What special designs do "they" have for their GMO marijuana? Considering, you know, that it is one of the drugs that Hindu priests have recognized since the 60's as a chemical fast track to communing with their pantheon of demons; something it takes years of "meditation" to accomplish (ref. Dave Hunt, The Cult Explosion).

Yes, I remember a law suit over hormones in milk. A very large industrial dairy fed their cows man made hormones to increase milk production from the cows. These hormones are part of the problem of people being overweight. They cause cows to grow faster, then we eat the meat or drink the milk and get the same hormones which cause us to gain weight.

So some people tried to get the FDA to make these dairies label their milk that they fed their cows these hormones. They failed of course.

So then some small dairies labeled their milk NO ADDED HORMONES. The large dairy sued them to make them take the label off. They claimed that this labeling made it look like there was something wrong with their milk, and since the FDA had approved adding hormones, there could be nothing wrong with it. The large dairy won.

                      Totally disgusting.

This is but one reason why I drink milk from a small organic dairy. They do not feed their cows hormones or antibiotics. They do not use herbicides or pesticides on their fields. Their cows are grass fed. The milk still comes in a glass bottle. It is pricey, about $4 for half a gallon.

When we try to follow the food laws in the Holy Scriptures, we will be blessed. I am 71 and in the recent weeks I have done a set of five squats with 600 # and a set of 25 squats with 450 #. This is not free weights but really thick and heavy rubber bands fastened to the floor and put on my shoulders to push up against. When I get stood straight up, I have the 600 # on my shoulders. I weigh 145 #.

Most of the guys are Christians in the group. All are much larger and most are younger than I am. A few have asked how I do this, they are working out on squats with 150 #. I have tried to tell them, it is following the food laws in the Bible. But they can not seem to hear it.

While Paul tells us that no one is going to hell for eating pork, or we are free in all things, Paul also says, not all things are profitable.

Pork will not taint my spirit, but it will taint my body. I fail to see how the cross of Christ changed the pig. If the pig was not good for us before the cross, it is also not good for us after the cross.

                        reply

I vote locally. I mailed in my ballot.

I don't vote on the national level. national level votes are a scam. Electronic voting is a scam.
There is only one party on the national level. The Democrats and the Republicans are both owned by the Corporate Empire.
Neither party can present a viable candidate that threatens the shadow masters. Corporate owns major media.

Even so... tomorrow... If America were to get a Godly President, A Supreme Court with Godly wisdom and a Congress and Senate that voted in the best interest of the people... the Church, the Body of Christ in America, would still be in danger of death by sleep apnea.

America's system (Government) is set up in a way that it is not possible for reform to come from within. The plan for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer (in worldly terms) is sealed, guarded and impervious to the voters.

America is a Corporate Empire. All three branches of Government are on the same Corporate page.
The day is not far away when people of The Way in America will be considered enemies of the state. The hirelings will scatter like cockroaches and the Bride will prepare for what is to come. Then our light will be obvious and people will ask about the hope that is within us.

I am very fortunate to have been born in America. I am thankful to be here. Big Brother is no match for the Spirit of God. Things will get horrendous before the Great Day of the Lord.... it is worth the race.

Good points, Baobab. I can especially relate to the part I highlighted in blue.

I can tell God is growing me in my understanding and perspective regarding worldly and political happenings. I was once overly fixated on current events, politics, and worldly news. When Sept 11, 2001 happened, I was literally addicted to Fox News and CNN. I didn't sleep well and watched the latest updates around the clock. Somehow I was expecting to find comfort and guidance through news reporters and new information regarding that horrific event. I completely forgot that God was still on the throne.

By comparison, the Ebola thing recently hasn't distracted me in the slightest from staying focused on Christ. I don't mean to discount those who have died or are suffering, but I have a peace in the midst of the so-called Ebola crisis. In other words, if it's my time to go, or if the world changes drastically, I still have Christ and He still has me.

Human politics and worldly governments have their place in this old broken world. But I will never put any real hope or faith in either of them.

Good points both of you. The Only difference in the parties may be that the dems are a fast train to destruction and the Repubs are a slower train to the same place.

There may be a few Politian's who do care, but even if they get elected the real power will not tolerate much interference.
