  • Please pray for me

I am going to the Cleveland Clinic tomorrow morning. During a phone interview the nurse checked my Healthcare and said it was not active.

I went to check on it yesterday and the man told me that their computers were down and he could not correct the error that day, but would try today. He told me everything looked OK by my insurance cards.

Please pray that this gets corrected before tomorrow morning so it will not mess up my appointments at Cleveland Clinic.

Also please pray that the tests and Doctors see with wisdom and truth and issue a correct diagnosis, and that it is a good one.

Also I do not know how long I will be gone. They said to allow at least 4 hours at the clinic, but it could involve being admitted.

Thanks for the prayers. My health insurance had been corrected by the time I got to the Clinic. Thank you Lord Jesus. Also thanks to Daniel, who said he would get it corrected by that day even though their computers were down.

The Cleveland Clinic with world class medical care
Health insurance to cover costs that most the people of the world cannot afford
        Retirement income
There are about 7 billion people in the world who do not have these things and never will.
WE are among the wealthiest people in the world.
Our prayers should start with gratitude and end with praise.
What is spoken between gratitude and praise must be spoken without forgetting the beginning and the ending of our prayers.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days the days of our lives: and we will dwell in the house of the YHWH for ever.

Lest we might look after idols, we need to acknowledge that it seems we are not a people rejected by YHWH but a people called out to be a special people unto YHWH.

        Health care an idol?
        I wonder?

I think health care is an idol to many. I even brought this up to the doctor at the clinic. I also said there are many wonderful doctors and also many that should not be allowed to practice. He agreed with enthusiasm. A lot of us trust in whatever the doctor tells us. We should consider his advise, but ask The Lord and trust in Him alone.

We are all scared of death. Being ill is scary too. Especially when you don't know what the end will be, whether or not you get well. But yet I love to take a nap. And many times I don't want to get up. I want to keep snoozing. I don't understand it, but I trust the King.

Odd but true. Jesus said the little girl was not dead, but asleep. Jesus can not lie and so according to men she was dead in the body, but according to God she was asleep in her soul. We love sleep, so why do we fear death so much?

“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

It is our fear of death that causes us to hang onto our life, and that is sin. Jesus said:

Luke 9: 23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?

                Luke 17

30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. 32Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.

                Matthew 16

24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life[f] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

What they have done - that is did they hang onto their life, or give their life to Jesus.

                Matthew 10

37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

                Matthew 6

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?[g]28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Thanks for all the scripture Lou. But even after reading all of it I still fear death. The unknown. I do have ALL my hope in Jesus's sacrifice for me and everyone else. I believe in a Holy God, Who is worthy to be trusted and adored. But I am flawed and unsuccessful in all my affairs. God help me.

                    Romans10

12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

One has to call upon the NAME of the Lord; that is the nature of the Lord. So calling upon a false god will help no one. But you are certainly calling upon The Lord and you see His promise to you.
