  • Please pray for me and my son Brant

We are packing up a four bedroom house with a finished basement, two car garage, and a storage shed and packing it all in two trucks.

It is a very large job for only two people.

I am very thankful that The Lord has given us warm sunny weather so far in the middle of April, which usually has rain almost every day.

Please pray that The Lord would provide us with some help of some kind.

I am pretty tired this morning and we have two more days of this.

Doesn't sound good brother. Why didn't he hire a day laborer or 2? I hope you don't over do it Lou, neither of you are young men. Blessings on your hard task brother. I will be praying for you guys.

Thanks for the prayers Blane and Steve.

He could not find anyone. No one wants to work anymore.

I just called another friend who goes to jump stretch with me and he said he could help. My friend Tom, who is a member here, also said he would be there. So we should have enough people to move it. It weighs #400 but I found out how to take the door off. It weighs #150 so that only leaves #250 to move down the stairs.

Brant and me, both, were wore out tonight when we quit. That is four days in a row without a rest, or easy day of work.

        Thanks again for the prayers.

Isn't it something that nobody wants to work anymore? People need money but they want a handout. It's a shame where we are at as a society. It's a deflationary time in our economy. I have had to drop my prices and took a a massive pay cut. I keep looking for work every day. A man doesn't work, a man doesn't eat.

Why work, if Obama gives you free food, free apartment, free electricity, free cell phone etc.

Today is the last day and we should get everything on the PODS.

I am allergic to dogs and four days in a house with the dogs got to me last night. I was having coughing spasms and when I laid down they got worse. This morning I am a little better. I hope I can be well enough to finish the job today.

Allergies are a cumulative thing, Lou. Continued exposure to an allergen leads to increasingly acute reactions as the antibodies build up. If you go back again, I recommend wearing a filtering face mask. Whether you take my advice, I will pray for you.

Very good advice Barry. That did not even cross my mind for some reason. BUT I tried to stay out of the house as much as possible today. I stayed outside to pack the POD and only went inside when Brant needed help carrying something. We did get the safe loaded and it went very smoothly by taking off the door.

What most people do not understand is that allergies can make one very sick too. Once I got so sick with a 105 fever for days and was dehydrated. I still lived with my parents and when he got there the doctor was angry. He asked my parents," Were you going to wait until he dead before you called me or took him to the hospital". They took me to the hospital immediately. I was better in a couple of days.

Today I was definitely sick. I was pretty weak and did not feel well at all. I seem to feel better tonight that last night, but still do not feel well.

                  Thanks for the prayers.

But I am very thankful that we got the PODS loaded last night with the help of lights.

                            Thanks Steve.

Last night I had to sleep sitting in a chair. Every time I laid down I would start to cough. I had such coughing spasms that I though I might chock to death at times.

This morning the girl who needed help with her college physics called me and made an appointment for 3:00 this afternoon. I really need the help of The Lord to be able to get through that session.

I really need the prayers of everyone.
