  • I passed out and fell to the floor

Please pray that The Lord reveal why I do this, and what I can do about it.

A few minutes ago I made some popcorn and ate it. After eating it I was drinking a cup of water and I felt like I had an obstruction, or something caught in my throat while I was trying to swallow the water. I felt myself getting light headed so I tried to put my cup down and get on the floor. But I could not do this fast enough. I could hear dishes falling and breaking as I fell to the floor. The moment seemed long, but commons sense says this took a short amount of time.

Thankfully I did not hit my head on the corner of the opened drawer and was not cut by any of the broken dishes. I got back up and seemed fine afterwards. I finished drinking my water very slowly with great care.

This has happened quite a few times. These events seem to be pretty far apart. This used to happen when I was swallowing food while sitting down, but this took place while I was standing.

This has been taking place off and on for many years since I was about 40. Several times the food got stuck in my throat and would not go down and I could not breath. Lately the choking part is not as bad, but the passing out part has got worse.

I do not eat in the car often, only when I travel to save time. I may have to totally stop eating while driving. If this would have happened while I was driving it would have been really bad. It has only taken place in my house.

Please pray and let me know the things that come to you while you are praying.

    Lou

Yes I will be praying for you. I hope you're feeling better and it's a questionable event with large amounts of time in between. A scan or MRI may be prudent. Blessings and we will be praying for you Lou.

Thanks for your prayers Steve. It is very disturbing to have this happen.

Thanks for the prayers and the article Barry. I did find a cut on my leg from the broken dishes later, but it was not serious.

I am looking for a watch that records your pulse when you wear it and keeps a record of your pulse so you can look back and see what your pulse was at a certainly time day. I want one that does not use a chest strap so I can wear it all of the time.

My plan is to see what my pulse is when I pass out like that. Is my heart stopping or slowing way down for a few seconds ? That would certainly make one pass out.

So if anyone knows of a watch like this please let me know.
