THESE ARE FACTS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE EARTH
1 - 95 % of the time the earth has been warmer in the past 10,000 years than today.
2 - In 1922 scientists released a statement about the polar ice melting, and what the result would be, that is almost word for word what many are saying today about climate change. But after that warming trend it got colder again.
3 - For it's 4.5 billion year history the earth has been warmer than today, 90% of the time, life came forth instead of going extinct.
4 - Ice has only existed on the earth for about 5 to 10 % of its history. That means that the earth has had absolutely no ice for 90 to 95 % of the the time.
5 - During the ice age the CO2 level was 11 times higher than today.
6 - There are more trees in the US today than there was in the 1800's. People burned wood for heat and cut down trees. When they started using coal it saved the trees which use CO2 to make Oxygen for us to breath.
7 - Germany already tried to go to solar and wind power and stop using fossil fuels to make electric power. They were reminded that the sun went down at night and the wind does not always blow. They had to start the coal power plants back up and CO2 level went up instead of down.
