Ha.. funny where wisdom comes from if we aren't so worried about the perfection of the messenger as we are of the Truth. Mmm...wonder if Mark Twain's proverb applies to apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers or just to us nobody's..?
There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;...
This will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.
(King Solomon's Proverbs)

Roy David,
appropriate quote
All believers know this verse from proverbs.
Few will know Twain's. They mean the same thing.
I think Twain's quote applies to everyone over all the centuries.
The qualifier is the "just ain't so."
Believing something that just ain't so not only gets you nowhere, it can lead to destruction.
as in there are many ways to God.
Truth matters.
Relationship to God matters more.
